Liverpool and Manchester United may have one of football’s most intense rivalries, but none have been more controversial than one league match between the old adversaries at Old Trafford on Friday April 2nd 1915 - Good Friday.
United went into the match in considerable danger of relegation, whilst Liverpool were in a relatively comfortable mid-table position, neither challenging for the title nor facing any threat of relegation.
